Stacey Bauer excels at leveraging science and data to develop sustainable policies that improve environmental stewardship.
Today, Stacey Bauer is the director of sustainability and energy conservation at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. She joined the healthcare system in March 2025 and is responsible for initiating, implementing, and tracking sustainability programs while ensuring their compliance with environmental regulations. She guides sustainability programs across several departments at Parkland Hospital. This requires her to coordinate projects across organizational teams as well as broaden employees’ understanding of sustainability through education and marketing.
Prior to Parkland Hospital, Stacey Bauer was the global procurement sustainability manager at PepsiCo/Frito-Lay in Plano, Texas. She led the implementation and continuous improvement of sustainable agriculture initiatives encompassing soil health, watershed health, biodiversity, and carbon reduction and sequestration. Stacey Bauer developed and managed an annual budget of over $150 million, ensuring sustainability projects received and prudently utilized resources. This optimized their efficiency, enabling the company to move closer to its goal of reducing carbon emissions by 40 percent by 2030.
A law school graduate, Stacey Bauer earned her PhD in environmental science and climate from Oregon State University. She has certifications in post crisis leadership and climate change: the science and global impact.
